Richie Greenberg is a San Francisco-based conservative political commentator, national network contributor, columnist, essayist, ballot measure author and city hall critic. He was the founder of the movement to oust the city's District Attorney Chesa Boudin. Greenberg was the Republican candidate for mayor of San Francisco in the June 2018 election, running largely on a tough-on-crime platform and city hall accountability. He spearheaded an effort which successfully derailed the re-election of San Francisco mayor London Breed in 2024, known as BREEXIT.
Greenberg served as delegate to the SFGOP (2016 through 2021) and the CAGOP (2019/2020 term) representing the city's Westside, and elected At-Large board member of the SF Log Cabin Republicans. He is among the most prominent Republicans residing in San Francisco today. He is widely known for his activism, commentary and Bay Area local TV appearances.
Greenberg brings his viewpoint to the nation from San Francisco, relating his twenty-four years residence in the City by the Bay. He continues earning local and national media attention as he brings a straightforward message in an otherwise sea of progressive, left-wing radical ideology. Network television, cable news channels and print media large and small, across the political spectrum left, right and center, seek his opinions and analysis. He’s raised awareness on crime, law enforcement, DEI and Race Equity, homelessness, drug addiction, corruption, recall elections and Reparations.
2025 RECALL of Supervisor Engardio: Richie Greenberg and colleagues launched the first phase of the recall effort of San Franciso District 4 Supervisor (City Councilman) Joel Engardio. The recall ultimately succeeded with a landslide victory September 16, 2025.
2025 CORY BOOKER Nazi Salute: Richie Greenberg posted a clip of NJ Senator Booker performing what appeared to be a Nazi salute while concluding a speech before 4,000 CA Democrat Party delegates. Greenberg's video went viral, viewed by hundreds of millions across the nation. The mainstream media shunned the issue, though previously chastized Elon Musk for the same transgression. The double-standard is clear.
2024 SF ELECTIONS: Richie Greenberg commented extensively on Kamala Harris as presidential candidate. He led a successful campaign to defeat incumbent San Francisco mayor London Breed's bid for re-election. He was the official San Francisco Great Highway Closure/Prop K ballot measure opposition author.
2023 SF REPARATIONS PLAN: Richie Greenberg has thoroughly investigated the San Francisco Reparations Plan, which has made national headlines. The plan essentially creates a segregated, neo-apartheid San Francisco.
2021-2022 CHESA BOUDIN RECALL: Richie Greenberg is the founder and committee spokesman of the recall of San Francisco district attorney Chesa Boudin, successfully recalled by voters on June 7th, 2022. Voters rejected Boudin and his extremist, non-accountability position.
2022 SF PROP A, MUNI Bond opposition: Greenberg opposed bond measure, activism succeeded and measure was rejected by voters.
2022 SF PROP C, Restriction on Future Recalls: Greenberg opposed, activism succeeded, measure was rejected by voters.
